Touch a Life foundation in Vietnam
Touch A Life Foundation Shelters
Since 2000, Touch A Life has been working with street children in Vietnam.
We have assisted in the rescue of vulnerable children who were living in very dangerous environments, many of whom were likely at risk of being trafficked.
Our program in Vietnam continues to run like a well-oiled machine, thanks to our amazing staff there.
Our homes consist of 15 children living in a family setting with a husband and wife team serving as house parents. Our dream is to raise up these children and instill them with the desire to help other vulnerable and exploited youths.
The empowerment program offers assistance with school tuition, food and daycare to 150 additional children.
Touch A Life committed this past year to focusing our efforts on prevention. We've found that prevention programs - like feeding and tuition assistance - are essential in leading the fight against human trafficking worldwide. By getting children off the streets and into homes and schools, we are protecting youth from being kidnapped and sold into slavery. Many of these children need the bare essentials - a roof over their heads, three nutritious meals a day, attentive medical care, warm clothing, and a chance to go to school.
We are committed to providing these necessities to them, and we are devoted to take things a step further - we not only seek to assist them by meeting their daily needs but we also strive to care for them on an emotional level but surrounding them with houseparents and staff members who love them. We believe in the power of holistic child care that stems from staff members' desires to treat these children as they would treat their own.
