The eleven boys who joined the Touch A Life family in October and November had their very first Art Healing session at the Care Center this past week. Kwame, our Ghana Art Center Director, asked them to draw scenes from their days spent fishing on Lake Volta. This first step of healing helps to identify fears and learn to face them through creative expression. Our older boys have been learning a simple method for drawing a self portrait. This activity is a good way for children who have been exploited to find their true, free identity. Their drawing skills have really improved over the past year, as well!
