Dear Pam and Randy,

Your story reminded me of the ancient Jewish teaching Kabbalah... In the beginning there was "the light" and "the vessel". The light constantly pouring into the vessel...

It was devine perfection / bliss.

One day the vessel thought it would be nice to reciprocate and wanted to give a "gift" to the light....However, this was not possible "the devine design of perfection" was the light filling the vessel...pure perfection.

One day the vessel (wanting to give back to light)...refused to accept the light. At that moment "the big bang" took place and the physical world was born...

Now it is our mission (in the human condition) to give to "the light" to take negative events and turn them into positive.
Hence, the vessel (humans) reciprocating "the gift" unto
the light (God).

There is a reason for everything...Jantsen's Gift.

Pam,
I am almost 3/4 of the way through your book and I just started it this weekend. I cried the first three chapters. I already knew the story, but after reading it in your words it really helped me put my life into perspective. I have felt like I had a calling in this field for some time now...but after reading your book and having the Rapha House gang at the recital this weekend, I know I have to help. I am really hoping I can share my story of abuse with the girls at the Rapha House next spring/summer. I really want to help!! I am also going to make a point to set back the money I make off of my Pampered Chef sales to go to Touch a Life and Rapha House. I hope you know what kind of impact your book is going to make on so many people. Here's to Jantsen and Dallas! Hope all is well. Miss you guys!
Love,
Kim

I started (and finished) Jantsen's Gift on my commute to and from the office on the train this week. I nearly missed my stop today because I wanted to finish reading every last page.

We have but one shot at life. Just one. Learning to take the most difficult situations we face (particularly with our children) and grow from them is impossible for some. Pam and Randy, you did it. Just one shot at life and you managed to find the courage to grow -- and boy did you grow.

I looked at every picture on your website. I smiled through tears. Just amazing, what you (and everyone involved) have accomplished. Congratulations for turning an impossible situation into something extraordinary.
