Are you ready to dream big? To help encourage others to discover their potential, and to use their gifts, Touch A Life is launching the Find Your Mark Campaign. Our goal is to help you employ your talents in service to the children we work with in Ghana and, in doing, to change our world, improve our connections, and to take the greatest risk you can imagine. Who knows? You just might find a Mark of your own.
Get Educated:
To Find Your Mark, know the facts.
Think slavery doesn’t exist anymore? There are an estimated 27 million slaves worldwide. Over 7,000 child laborers and trafficking victims are still exploited daily on Lake Volta. Find out more at:

Get Involved:
Any way that you’d want to become involved in helping Touch A Life is appreciated, and we sure can stretch a dollar, so any financial contribution—large or small—will be put to good use. If you are hoping to raise money as part of your Find Your Mark efforts, here are some ideas.
Find Your Mark: Individual Child Sponsorship – $150 per month
Get a group of friends and family members together to free a child. You can sponsor rescue, housing, education and medical treatment, ensuring that one more child is freed from a life on slavery on Lake Volta.
Find Your Mark: Educational Fund
All donations support enrichment programs such as private schooling, University scholarship funds, and art and music programs.
Find Your Mark: Construction and Capital Campaigns
New construction for housing and recreation, reliable transportation, in-country staff, and economic self-sufficiency programs ensure holistic care for our children in Ghana. Only with additional resources can we complete these goals.
Take Action:
Now, how can you join us? You don’t have to buy a plane ticket and head to Ghana to get started. Finding your Mark is far easier. All you have to do is ask yourself: what are my passions? What am I good at? How do I enjoy spending my time?
Do you like hosting parties? Then think about throwing an event to educate your friends about the situation in Ghana.
Do you like cooking? Bring together your friends for a potluck dinner and talk about what you can do to get involved in helping to rescue one child from slavery. Or, think about hosting a bake sale at your church or gather your kids and hold a lemonade stand. We can help make information available for you to distribute to people so you can educate them while you nourish them!
Are you creative? Let us know and we’ll send you photographs of Mark and the other former slave children we work with, as well as photos of those still in bondage on Lake Volta. Think about hosting a slide show fundraiser and a discussion.
Do you like to read, or are you part of a book club? Consider choosing Pam’s memoir Jantsen’s Gift: A True Story of Grief, Rescue and Grace for a book club discussion. Let us know and we’ll send you a list of questions and topics to discuss.
Start a Find Your Mark chapter! Rally the support of your school (whether you’re a parent or student), your circle (your church, your neighbors, your community), or your group (your book club, your bridge group, your workout clan) to help you in the planning and implementation of a local chapter in your area. Delegate tasks amongst yourselves and hold yourselves accountable to monthly FYM brainstorming meetings. Commit to working together to meet your mark!
