When it comes to getting involved with the Touch A Life Foundation, a little bit of help can undoubtedly go a long way. This year, 22 students from the Glenora School in Edmonton, Alberta, made it their goal to make a difference in the lives of TAL’s children in Ghana.
As part of their Global Citizenship unit in their Social Studies curriculum, these third-graders hosted a fundraiser where the students sold Freezies (a type of freeze pop) as well as homemade baked goods during lunch and recess. In a mere 30 minutes, the kids raised over $160!
Efforts like these do not go unnoticed within the organization. We look to these children and volunteers as future leaders who will someday lead in the fight to end child slavery. Their compassion and willpower inspire us, and their actions will ultimately make a difference for many people.
